Funded by Welsh Government, the Short Breaks Scheme supports unpaid carers of all ages in Wales to take a break from their caring role. A short break is more than just a yoga class or an overnight stay in a hotel, it is a chance for carers to de-stress and recharge. Through this programme we have been able to offer regular parents and carers peer support & wellbeing in nature sessions for families with disabilities, neurodivergency or anxiety. In addition to this we have been able to run Forest Families sessions for the whole family. With another year of funding confirmed, we are delighted to be able to continue these programmes in Denbighshire and Flintshire. And to offer a family summer camp experience to families from across North East Wales.
